The population consists entirely of Gujjar tribe people, most of whom migrated from the Indian Punjab's city Hoshyarpur from 1947 to 1948. Agricultural land were allocated to farmer families in 1898. The word village is known as Pind in the local Punjabi Language. This village has the number 217. G.B is the abbreviation for Gogera Branch, which is part of the irrigation system developed by the British during their reign. Pind has 1500 acres total land area. Most of the peoples are Gujjars and Sunnivillage having one Primary School for boys & one Middle school up to 8th level. There are three masjids (mosques)in the village.
